Without testing the car under the same conditions, before and after the mods, who knows if there was any real difference other than more blower whine. What always seems to be lacking is concrete before and after data/info or it's done under different conditions possibly skewing the results. |
Thanks, it was a blast. I totally agree about the comparison, I wish I ran it before I did the mods. I'm always skeptical about HP gains by manufacturers. I'm not saying to go out and buy D3's stuff - I think its over priced, but I'm not disappointed with the purchase. I did dyno the car and bone stock it put down 365 hp after 20 hot laps on the track (it was pretty warm out too). I hope to get it dyno'd again in the spring so maybe that would be a good comparison.
For the skeptics out there on the 1/4 mile time & speed, I have nothing to gain by exaggerating the numbers. I'm just letting all the faithful V owners what this one V ran on this one particular day. You can check out the video on you tube:
And you can compare that to the time slips I posted in my album. You Tube kills the resolution so its kinda hard to read my time, plus the telephone pole blocks some of it. But you can clearly see the Evo ran 12.76 (actually 12.755) and I ran 12.855 on this pass. My last pass was when I ran the 12.73.
