to my view, lease contract is no different then marriage contract. you got married, you agree to love each other, be honest, etc. so let say things did not work out. contract is broken both parties go to court and judge ( based on evidence provided) decides who is right and who is wrong.
many of you don't know, but GMAC has a history for being shady.
November 14 is going to be a final class action settlement at SD court ( I am part of it as well)with GMAC Mortgage (they got caught doing illegal transactions with property taxes that people paid to them into impound account maintained by GMACM ).
my lawyer said worst thing can happen in my case is that judge my say: keep the car and make your payments.
