There is monoply law, precedent, or judgement. I forget the name and number. It allows you to have property maintained elsewhere or yourself.

You will have to show proof that service was complete if you ever put in a warranty claim. That will be written in small print in the warranty booklet.

IE,
I always change my own oil. I purchased the Ford factory 100K mile E.S.P. for my 1997 Mustang Cobra. When it cracked the #7 piston ring, they asked for receipts. I gave them one receipt from NAPA (back dated) showing 50 gal. drum of oil and 3 cases of filters.
No problem.
