'05 CTS 3.6L, anyone know how to clean throttle body the right way?

I have an' 05 CTS 3.6L and I want to clean the throttle body myself. I know this isn't hard but I've read that some people have really jacked up difrent sensors and idle doing it. Does anyone know the right method of cleaning and the easiest method of cleaning? Is it really necessary to remove the throttle body and all the atached tubes. I've read one of the tubes is full of coolant. Is this true? Any advice is greatly appreciated or any webpages to refer to with diagrams would be a great help. I have 50,000 miles on it right now and it runs fine but I hear cleaning the throttle body at this mileage helps a lot with performance of the engine. Thanks guys!!!
