I mean, people are restoring up to '93 FWB's. But who will restore a '95, except maybe for the drivetrain? (And who would ever restore an '05 DTS???) In my opinion, cars have less and less character every year. Soon, there will be one car to "choose" from: a shapeless, generic "car" looking thing that everybody else drives too.
the gist....persoanlly, I don't care for the newer FWB's. |
That`s what i love about this Cadillac forum------a variety of opinions on likes/dislikes and plenty of members willing to help each other when mechanical problems arise.
I must admit i miss the real chrome as the earlier Cadillac`s had.I wish my Deville had chrome bumpers instead of plastic ones, but then again plastic does`nt rust.
I needed the chrome look on my '95 Deville--it looked too plain--so last summer i installed stainless steel rocker panels on the lower doors, including the sides of both bumpers, front fender stainless steel trim and stainless steel pillar posts.Needless to say,it`s not plain looking anymore---now it looks like a 210 inch long Fleetwood.
