There is a connection. Some of the SAAB 9-5's in the 90's used the same 3.0 L V6 engine as the Catera, configured for transverse mounting and FWD. Also, there were some 9-3's (900's) that used a 2.5 L version. Both engines were non-turbocharged, somewhat out of character for SAAB. I own a '97 Catera and a 2004 Saab 9-3 (turbo). |
