while i'm not advocating people staring down at a screen while doing 70, you do have a cell phone, your cell phone has many capabilities, including video streaming & with vcast, iphones & all the others, you can watch movies... shit you can even watch them on your ipod or portable dvd player.
point is, if you want to not be looking at the road, if you want to be watching a movie while behind the wheel, you can do it & not a damn things stopping you.

its like saying "car manufacturers shouldnt make cars that can exceed 75mph. they care not abou tthe deaths or injuries their actions will cause" or gun manufacturers? tint manufacturers and installers? ...

If i had a monitor in the dash then you bet i'd want it to be able to play while the car is in motion... my passenger can watch if she/he wants to and if i want to look down when stuck in traffic or at a light or whenever, i can. Responsibility and judgment come into play in this equation.

in a nutshell... relax
