| Re: Selling my STS and I find I'm elitist. . . or something first of all, the "elitist" thing wasn't something I was considering myself to be based on buying secondary, thus being smarter than the original owner, it was me thinking I appreciated the STS more than my blue-collar employee. When I found myself thinking that way, I was disturbed by my elitist attitude.
My employee decided not to buy my car. I bought a Suburban this weekend anyway, and now I need to figure out what to do with the STS. I don't need two cars, and the Suburban will be more practical now, even with the gas prices as they are.
I have rally enjoyed the STS, and I do think I am able to appreciate it more than many people, but I find I am not as attached to cars as some people are.
After reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and "The Millionaire Next Door" and other similar books, I am leaning more towards cars as being transportation, and not too worried about them as status symbols.
. . . but I still want a '98 Corvette next summer. Must be my mid-life crisis. |
