Re: 2009 STS and STS-V Official Changes

I personally like the emblems, especially the word "SUPERCHARGED" on the doors. I think it gives the car a little visual pizzazz that the regular STS doesn't have. It also leaves NO question in anyone's mind about what they have just been dusted by.

You are right, though, CIWS... most people have no idea what the V series is. Cadillac really missed a huge marketing opportunity here. They started out strong advertising the V series, and then just dropped it. Even if most people never buy a V, it speaks volumes about what Cadillac is all about today: luxury and speed combined into one sexy package. The V series was always intended to be halo cars, but GM spent all of this money to develop these halo cars much to our good fortune, and the GM marketing department just let it drop which really is a shame.

They are kind of getting the luxury and speed message across with the latest Escalade and CTS commercials where the cars are being shown driven fast by beautiful women talking about targeting "a different kind of woman" and "rolling up to the boy's club in one of these". If they threw a V or two in there, that would really help make their point about Cadillac's direction.
