It is a good looking, if not groundbreaking, design, it just looks like a "high rider" in these pictures--hopefully just a side effect of the non-production looking wheels. We'll see soon enough.

That said, as a new Malibu owner, the Taurus isn't exactly a direct competitor, as it's a size class up--the Malibu matches against the Fusion. It's more an Impala competitor, and in that sense, definitely a more modern, roomy, refined, etc. car (in current form) so this only takes that further with looks.

Just like rumored from Ford, taking the same fantastic guts again from the current models (I believe) but finally giving the exterior and interior looks of the right caliber. Well, except for the very high stance, at least here. And again, nothing incredibly groundbreaking, just sort of what should have been as a volume Ford sedan for a long time--tasteful, but nothing more. Have to see more, clearer, larger, and other views.
