They only reason it did not
relock, was because the door was not closed all the way. If all the doors are closed it will relock (if you have the keyless system). Thats the way my car works.
Note: I have the keyless system and I don't have to do anything to lock the car....just walk away. The horn sounds & lights flash when the car locks.
