For those who don't already know this - 80% of Chrysler Group was sold to Cerberus Capital Management for $7.4 billion last year. This may or may not have any influence on the insurance end of the business, since the warranty insurance is generlly profitable. It's the mortgage part of the business that is in trouble and as Bender said above, the warranty end of the businees could be sold to other insurance companies if Cerberus needs capital. Again, the warranties are good for those who need the piece of mind, but they are big dealer profit items.
