It has a low fuel light but no reserve tank like my old FZR and my older FZ... which actually did have a fuel gage.
(I think)

I have never gone over 40 miles with the low fuel light on, probably not even that far.
I usually watch the trip odo and look for gas around 180 miles.
It gets close to 50 mpg regardless of how you drive it
my 86 honda vfr700 has the same setup...it holds5.1gallons in total, with a 1.0 gallon reserve, which is when the light comes on....back when i commuted on the bike i got cute and left the tank switch on reserve and thought i would use the light as my only indicator for when it was time to refuel....bad move...luckily i was only a mile or so from a gas station on a secondary road when i discovered that was a stupid idea.

depending on my driving style/speed, i get any where from 43 mpg to nearly 60 mpg (no joke) on a steady ride on an interstate with keeping it at 60 mph...love that bike...
