Re: Anyone else afraid to park their car ANYWHERE other than their driveway?

Reason why I have a '96 Windstar daily driver/rain car.

I don't take my car anywhere where it has to sit around for a while. When I do take it somewhere where I have to park it, I find a spot that's next to a curb (so only 1 car is beside me) and park it an inch (literally) from the curb. This way, people parked on the otherside can open their doors all the way and my car will still be safe. Never park it too far to the back, that makes it easy for people to vandilize.

If the weather's REALLY nice sometimes I drive it to school, where it's parked in a secured and monitored parking garage (I rented a spot from a condo.). Whenever my car's in for service the service dept. leaves the car inside for me during day and night.

If I go to a fast food place I sit somewhere where I can keep an eye on my car.

Call me crazy but there are way too many careless people in this world that just fling their doors open and way too many jealous *******s that will vandilize a nice car. Sometimes it's annoying having to find the perfect parking spot and stuff, but what can ya do?
