| Re: 2008 CTS Prices Released Chuck C - “How about AWD with automatic for $3,200? That brings the price to $48,340” By my reading of the Order Guide, the AWD option is $1,900 on the 6DP69 = 3.6L V6 w/DI & w/Automatic. So AWD total would be $45,140 + $1,900 = $47,040. “Add special paint? $995” True – so that would bring it to $48K. “And do those wheels come polished? $750” Y43 includes: (P63) 18" x 8" (45.7 cm x 20.3 cm) aluminum wheels with high-polished finish’ So - $48K – not quite $50K. Not cheap, I will agree . . . I suppose that GM would point to a new ( and presumably better ) chassis, improved interior, more HP, more TQ, the 6 speed automatic, etc. to ‘justify’ the rise in MSRP. Whether or not any of that is ‘worth it’ to any particular buyer is an open question, certainly. And I did not think that the 2007 was available with AWD??? Near $2K of the ‘difference’ . . . - Ray Still willing to test drive one . . . |
