| Re: Who do you think the King of the jungle is. In the 1800's battles were staged between all manner of beasts. A grizzly easily dispatched a bull with one swat; a broken neck. A grizzly is easily twice the size and weight of a lion, a really big one even more. I saw a fifty gallon drum with the top cut out for use as a garbage can that a grizzly chewed the rim off it. A conventional galvanized can was torn into strips about 2" wide. I've seen tires with the tread chewed off by bears. The commercial you see on TV where the bears use the "Jaws of Life" to get in a car after goodies is a fake. They don't need it. They'll tear the front off a log cabin if there's something inside to eat.
