With all the "jim cracks" and electronic wizardry now their is clearly a lot to go wrong on a new Caddy. It is also apparent that this knocking sound is somewhat endemic to the 06 DTS. Mine certainly does it. In fact, does ANYONE have one that DOESN"T do it?" I have resolved myself to the fact that I like the car and even if I got a different DTS it would probably do the same thing. It's like the old sports car I used to drive when I was, ahem...MUCH younger... my mechanic told me that until it breaks, there is often little way to solve the problem if you can't reliably reproduce the problem for diagnosis. |
