| Re: Anyone considered trading V for a C6 and not done it? I saw a beautiful blue C6 last night and I started thinking about trading 'up' to one. The insurance is insanity, the plastics are worse than the V's and the steering wheels are horrid. The older 4 spoke ones were bad and the new ones that you get with the paddle shifter is directly from an Equinox. How often do you goto the track? If you're just driving it on roads to work etc, I do not think that you would notice a difference between the handling of a C6 and a V. Acceleration would probably be more drastic, more because of the fact that you are lower to the ground (gives the sensation of going faster). You could easily make the V faster than a stock C6. Typically when I choose a fast car to buy I pick the one that is better equipped and made better, even if it means that that car is a little slower around the track than the competition. For example, I'm pretty positive that an Evo MR is alot faster than our V's around the track, due to its pretty amazing AWD system. Why get a car that is obviously fast when you can have a car that is practically just as fast and is a sleeper. I would rather have an S65 over a Ferrari F430 any day, that's just me though. |
