correct but not completely not all VTEC equipped engines are DOHC a D16Y8 is an SOHC which has VTEC

...rev-range, the control ECU moves the camshaft using pneumatics, along it's own axis and the valves are now controlled by the second camshaft lobe which is designed for power/torque. This idea was originally pioneered by Honda, although their are several manufacturers such as Ford and Toyota-Lotus, who use a principally similar system.

That's not quite correct, but you're close! A "DOHC" ("Double Over Head Cam" or "Dual Over Head Cam" engine, depending on were you come from) is exactly that. Two camshafts in the cylinder head. One camshaft operates the inlet valves and the other operates the exhaust valves. A VTEC engine, also has twin camshafts in the cylinder head, but it has two camshaft lobes for each valve.
