its not the weight of the axels the motor, differentiaLS and transmission are all inthe front of the car and are all made od cast iron to the sum of 2500lbs I shaved over 1200lbs of weight of the car also there are no brake upgrades and we tubbed out the rear to get lager tires in the back this is a cadilacc nascar herhehe

What "all the weight" an axle must be a pretty small percentage of the weight of a fullsize caddy??Anyway,if the rear end comes out,you just counter-steer and throttle it.My friend had an Audi 5E and his handbrake freezed in the winter.He continued to drive anyway,with locked rear wheels...It must be possible to obtain better axles,or make some?Look up "Thompson Joint" on the net,interesting...Whats the difference between fwd and rwd brakes,and didn't you have some 20-inchers??

The problem is with all the weight in the front of the car the rear end is loose on high speed turning also the front drive axels can only handle 400hp plus there are no good after market brakes for a FWD and the 15" tires are to small for the car Cheers

What bullshit is that? And it will certainly NOT handle better.What makes you think that?It's not one of a kind.Saw Chip Foose did it to a Toronado once.And isnt the Buick Riviera also built on the same platform,only it's rear driven?I think that a fullsize american front drive is much more spectacular than one with your average rear drive,basically you have made it conventional again in my opinion.Build an AWD one,then it would be one of a kind.And handle best.

FWD can only get 400hp RWD will be able to get up top 1500hp and handle much better plus its One Of A kind J
