Rawkus definitely had one of the (if not the) realist catalog of artists in the industry. I often wonder, "what happened?" A part of me thinks the creative minds at Rawkus were way ahead of their formative years. The other part of me thinks that a majority of the "hip hop" fan base would rather listen to the "substance-lacking" garbage that's filling the airwaves now. So sad and confusing at the same time.

What happened to Rawkus Records? Why did everybody jump ship? This is a real question for anybody who knows how the whole label seemed to disappear.

This tune has been soul food since day one. Time and age only make it better.
