This guy is hilarious! He plays the same thing on all his videos. :) Danny played triplets on the toms on the fill near the end of "MAKE ME SMILE" not doubles.

Okay I was a little crabby that day. The lesson itself WAS good, and it involved one of my faves, Chicago's Danny Seraphine. Buddy played beyond what most mortal drummers could ever achieve, and his technique and talent would have been amazing to watch if he was playing inverted rubber garbage cans. BTW, I guarantee my Yamaha Maple Customs sound terrific.

I found this helpful, actually. Yes, these bad boys sound horrible. Take the headphones off and listen to your drums, please. I once heard Buddy Rich in person and his Ludwigs were pathetic. Just awful. He still sounded awesome, despite them.
