And hey, I guess I gotta get in on at least a LITTLE of the controversy here. I think I saw in passing that someone here was slagging Americans for being... well, Americans. Not gonna go back and look, but if it was a Brit: Get over it. We separated ourselves from England, kicking MUCH ass in the process, and became the world's leading superpower. Britain's empire is long gone. Like I told the other guy: Walk it off. It's been well over two centuries.

Oh, and I forgot to list Katrina & The Waves and Michael Penn! That's SEVEN American acts... that must be at least half of them!
Tre404 (August 21, 2008 at 4:55 am)
Dude, dude, chill! Check this out, I found FIVE acts in this montage that are AMERICAN! Stacey Q, Nu Shooz, Sly Fox, Buster Poindexter and Edie Brickell & New Bohemians are all THOROUGHLY American! Walk it off, man...
Tre404 (August 21, 2008 at 4:54 am)
Very nice! But there are a couple of exceptions here. Nu Shooz had two hits (The other was "Point of No Return"). Stacey Q had at LEAST two ("We Connect" did well). Swing Out Sister had at least two (the other was "Twilight World").
