I honestly believe the Eldorado is THE car. It embodies everything about the spirit of the car. On paper, especially with $4 a gallon gas, its pure rubbish, but owners and lovers don't care. Its the pure ludacricy, insanity, and stupidity about owning one that makes them so perfect, and thats what cars are all about.

My brother has the 68 with the 472ci. Take it out on the highway and it seems like your floating on air. But dear god can it suck up gas.

I have a '68. Yes, they are slow off the line. It is from all of the wheel spin. The ride in them is very smooth. In it's day it was the finest car you could buy. They cost twice what the average family sedan at $6,600. Then a Ferrari was $10,000 but didn't have the ride. These cars are quite fast up top. Maybe 150 or better.
