The Nimbus Crew tries to answer that question, reflecting on how they got into skiing, what it means to them, and why they came together to produce Hunting Yeti.
This project showcases skiing that is more fun and enjoyable for everyone, more about fluidity and style than amplitude or quantity of rotations, it breaks from the norm of pro athletes hitting jump after jump with a couple contrived lifestyle segments, to producing a project that communicates what ski culture is through the eyes of Pep Fujas, Eric Pollard, Chris Benchetler, Ike Smith, Andy Mahre, and their friends.
The whole movie is like one big highlight!!! Watch as Eric Pollard, Pep Fujas, Bryce Phillips, and Andy Mahre rip amazing pillow lines and steeps at North Cascade Heli Skiing. See the hardships of being a pro skier as Chris Benchetler breaks his clavical, twice, and Andy Mahre dislocates his shoulder.
Look in awe as the Nimbus Crew goes deep into the backcountry on snowmobiles in Whistler, Sonora, and Cooke City showcasing their innovative backcountry freestyle skiing skills. Enjoy the fun of snow camping and riding the volcanoes of Mount St. Helens and Mt. Hood.
