I saw one site where you can purchase the amount of Cs they had for around 100 dollars..you're saying that's out of their budget?

LIES. Cs is way too rare and therefor expensive for this program. They wouldn't have it. It's bullshit.

@ Cal0Pat: Seems your knowledge of chemistry is not that distinctive. I can assure you that Rb and of course Cs react with water in a very explosive way. It depends of the amount of the Cs an the material of the tub. But believe me, Cs can destroy that tub!!! Furthermore, the colour of the flames were exactly as they should be.

This is faked - neither rubidium or caesium react like this to water. The effect here is created using explosives. Its a pity - I loved Brainiac...

woohooo throw one (Cs) in the toilet flush run = BOOOM =)

By right rubidium won't explode so violently although it's more reactive than Potassium because it has a higher atomic mass even if they have more reactivity per mole, they have less reactivity per mass. They also sink into the water and cool down, they don't explode as violently the lighter metals.

From wikipedia: Francium "Francium can be synthesized in the nuclear reaction 197Au + 18O → 210Fr + 5n. This process, developed by Stony Brook Physics, yields francium isotopes with masses of 209, 210, and 211, which are then isolated by the magneto-optic trap (MOT). Other synthesis methods include bombarding radium with neutrons, and bombarding thorium with protons, deuterons, or helium ions. Francium has not yet, as of 2006, been synthesized in amounts large enough to weigh" (about 10000atoms)

lol the dogs nuts!!
armpittheatre (August 1, 2008 at 1:09 am)
thats just naturally occuring francium, can it not be synthesised?

THe hamster is like a kind of mini-me Clarkson. Poor dress sense and he really strings out phrases like 'The dogs nuts' just like big clarky.
