i remember watching this the night before i did the Seas Aqua Tour at epcot back in 2005. and to be honest, this was a good movie despite the tension on the set (which led some producers to jokingly refer the movie to "The Abuse" and "Life's Abyss and then You Dive")

This is a good movie but I definitely like the theatrical version better than the Un-Cut version where he tries to negotiation wiht the aliens rather than them just saving them.

most fantastic scifi movie... up there with alien,contact,blade runner etc. sadly killed by the most rubbish final 10mins in movie history ..... sigh.... this movie was like running 100 meters faster than anyone else better than any one else and then tripping up right at the end just before the finish line

This movie was good but the aliens were not needed in it. It had enough of a plot without having Deepcore's crew saved at the last second by aliens ushering in a global golden age of peace. Not that I'm against that message in a film, it just wasn't needed here.
