Fifth Gear - Lotus Exige 265E

Tiff Needell tests the Lotus Exige 265E, the world's fastest ethanol automobile and also the most powerful road version of the Lotus Exige ever made. The engine runs on E85 fuel, and has an output of 265 horsepower at 8000 rpm. This stunning concept can reach 60 mph in just 3.88 seconds, and 100 mph in 9.2 seconds, for a top speed of 158 mph. Depends when they made the ccxr bioethanol car though seeing as this was made almost 2 years ago so i guess at that time it was the fastest bioethanol car.

The koenigsegg CCXR is faster so its not the fastest bioethanol car....and yes...no one is using it because people are starving in africa and asia and we are using crop for fuel. They said that food prices went up in europe because too much crop is beeing used for fuel production

It's not the fastest bio ethanol car in the world, koenigsegg has a bio ethanol version of the CCXR.

YH thats a great idea, most of the people in the world get little to no food and here they are thinking of using food to make fuel.

the Mustang produces more C02, than the Lotus Exige. and no i dont want to pay more to polute than to eat, but you still have to get from piont a to piont b

u'd rather pay more to polute than to eat?
samin94 (July 24, 2008 at 5:35 am)
true, but that raises the price for food...so it isn't the best alternative solution
