To be honest, I have never had stock mufflers. These are mufflers only, so I doubt there's a difference in the ride or performance. Other than the fact it makes you drive hard all the time :)
For the 02 STS, I highly recommend a CORSA catback system as you will gain HP and the sound is PURRfect. Quiet idle, bad-ass rev. Also, be sure to join Cadillac Forums. Congrats!

Awesome pipes on an awesome car, respect son. I'm getting an 02 STS next saturday, I was wondering how much that ran you and if you really feel the difference in the drive, not just the sound

I have 40 Series mufflers only. The best complete system would be CORSA which isn't made for the 1992-97 models. If you go with a full pipe, be careful as it can mess up your back pressure.

i have a 96 sts northstar 4.6. cut the mufflers out and put straight pipes in. Sounds alot like yours
