well youd be surprised how often people are affected by a song with no meaning in oddly positive ways. some artists will make a song with no particular meaning, and the reason is so a person can draw their own meaning from it..sometimes those can affect a persons outlook more than a song crafted with a meaning in mind

i hope all musicians today will makea meaningful music rather than making nonsense songs. because now a days teens are being influenced by all sort or song that has no meaning at all.

23 yr old from texas here, heard this song when i was in junior high. from that day on i started hating the new generation music. for the message of this song really hit me hard thru my bones...

i am a british 28 yr old guy and the music entering our charts is not music but a load of crap.....my dad got me into his music when iwas young and i avent heard a piece of music that can even stand against the quality of this song for the past 15 years... its a big shame bcoz young musicians need great music to learn from and that died out years ago........

jle0421 You are pretty insightful for 16 years old. Wow---you like simon and garfunkel----this is great. How come you are not like the majority of your peers and revere fifty cent or snoop dog???? Your comments are pretty accurate-----our standards have greatly diminuished and the dumbing down of America is well under way. This is tempered by the fact that I can find solid young people like you who recognize the garbage and foolishness that permeate our society.

im a young, 16 that is. And this song brings tears my eyes everytime because it reminds me of how music and society as degraded to its present state. I love this song because it shows me how music used 2 b an artform.

yea same here dude. i hate this song when i was a kid u know when my dad used to play it because to me it was boring at that time but now i'm loving it so damn much.most band from the 60's..their arts of music was nothing like nowadays. cry~
