Hello :-) I think you might have a look at this video first: Tenores di Bitti a Belluno 2 In this clip the singers explain their technique. To my ear the second and third singers actually do throat singing. Tenores de Orosei are perhaps even better than the Tenores di Bitti, because they reach very low tones, just like the HHT. I am very curious to have your opinion!

ChiudiLaPorta, thanks for sharing that information. I will search for those groups and find out more about this singing in Italy. It is a deep personal fascination of mine to find unique singing styles from around the world which are not widely known.

Hello Throatsinger, I am also mesmerised by this style of singing, and am absolutely amazed in discovering (just today!!!) that a very very similar thing exists in my country, Italy: look for sardinian "canto a tenores". I can mention the groups Tenores di Bitti or Tenores de Orosei. You may tell me if the technique is really the same (to my ear it is). Cheers
