What a beautiful instrument! And well played too!
I like it. Thanks. :)

Rob, this song is my ringtone. I love your work with the Chapman Stick, keep it up, and one day you will teach me the ways of your madness!

Thanks for the comment... if you visit my website (see the link on my profile page or the "more info" to the right) I talk about the tuning in my FAQ section, there is also an article on the mirrored 4ths tuning I use on the stick website.

I'm mostly self taught, although I had previous experience on other instruments and some formal music education. What part of the world are you in?

That was truely awsome. Could you type out the string organization on that "stick", it looks ehh.. funky to say the least =S. I play bass guitar and ive all ways liked to play Michel Manering sorta stuff. (if you havent heard of him then your missing out i think) But this is brilliant, it wasnt to fast and all over the place- but it was just perfect. Please play more songs like this, you are ace with a stick =P

where did u learn how to play...im dying to learn...i cant find a teacher anywhere

There are some timing mistakes towards the end, but if you are referring to the part where it almost sounds like a fake ending because of the slow down, I claim artistic license!
Actually I don't do that as deliberately now when I play it live because it fakes people out.

You are absolutely correct, I let my elbow hang too low in some of these videos. It's not particularly uncomfortable but I realize the benefits of keeping wrists straight. Something I am more aware of these days...
