I have been knitting for 30 years, and didn't know there were different "styles" of knitting! You showed me that I knit "continental" style. I learned to crochet first. Your videos are very helpful for learning new stitches.

How about giving your 4-year-old some fat (and blunt!!) needles and some nice chunky, comfy thread so they make fast progress...and it's more rewarding for them ;)
All you need to knit is the desire to do so, and saying they're too little to try would probably break their heart!!
I reckon it's a lovely idea, they'd be so proud and it would teach them perseverance and patience lol!

Thank you for such a great and easy-to-follow video. This is the 3rd one I've viewed in regards to continental style knitting and 1st one I've been able to follow and understand! Thanks again :-)

OMG! My stepmother taught me to knit this way on a visit in Chicago. I was soooo confused when trying to follow anyone else's instruction videos to further my knowledge. THANK YOU SO MUCH!) |
