You're right! The fight though,in my opinion,is always between rich and poor. Always has been. The rich are adept in deception. To keep the have-nots fighting amongnst themselves,they infuse race,religion,Lib vs. Con, etc. false fights. As long as the focus is not on them,they can continue to steal and get away with it. When I say "rich",I'm referring to the ruling class,not just any millionares like you and me.

I wouldn't buy into this 'liberal' and 'conservative' limited box. The democratic leadership are not true liberals in any sense of the word, neither is the republican leadership true conservatives. It's just something to keep us at odds with each other. Divide and rule. I think we all want truth, justice and freedom.

I understand that all conservatives aren't rich, neither are all liberals poor. However, the dichotomy of the two camps lies in haves vs. have nots conflict. Conservative philosophy tends to portray that rich,selfish, greedy type of aristocracy in it's creed,"Pull yourself up by the bootstrap". Translation "Let them eat cake". A disdain for contributing to the common well-being of society is a hallmark of the oppressor class. Those of lesser means support conservatism out of ignorance.

doughborne, most citizens born into this world just want to live their lives. Why are wars fought,where do we get our freedom from and from whom? Why was America founded, what wars and struggles have Americans fought to ensure more of her citizens can participate in the dream and remain free? It just happens that the oppresssor has been rich white males in the last 6-7 centuries.But in all societies, it's the haves vs. have nots. The Bible stories are a prime example.
