How can the U2 fans commenting here be so profoundly intellectual when their grammatical prowess is about as convincing as a bearded man in a park claiming his enjoyment of the children was 'entirely platonic'? Just because Bono throws his banal lyrics in the nebulous direction of conventional rebellion doesn't absolve him from the crime of his own existence, nor his choice of earrings. 'Mousedude' is more probably talented than Bono, and his intelligence is as sparse as Bono's self-denigration.
