It might work that way for some, but this seller e-mailed me back and refused to refund my money. Even funnier, he hired someone in an attempt to get the negative feedback removed. When I told him I would allow him to remove it if he offered me a refund, he said he would keep the negative feedback.

I've been very lucky and have not gotten ripped-off. I am a NASCAR Die-Cast collector as well and the displayed cars were bad. But selling illegally recorded videos is inexcusable.
