that's incorrect because there are many other companies that also tune specifically for bmw. i happen to trust my 135 to meisterschaft over dinan. though i agree with you that dinan and alpina are most common in the u.s., it's ignorant to say that everyone else only knows how to tune ricers. there are also a whole bunch of independent tuners in the u.s. that are noteworthy, for example, riss racing is gaining acclaim in the bmw community, check the forums.

such as Dinan and Alpina, however i dont believe he was referring to real tuners, i believe he was referring to independent tuners or as i call them "riceburners", i have always wanted an Alina tuned car, but buying anything besides Alpina or Dinan for a BMW is practically insulting it, rarely with aftermarket parts be better than stock parts on a BMW unless they are Alpina or BMW because they are specifically made for BMWs that was my point

there are a plethora of very competent bmw tuners. close to a dozen reputable ones in germany alone. but you are entitled to your own opinion.

"once the tuners get ahold of this thing" yeah thats just what every BMW enthusists wants, a bunch of fucking riceburners with bimmers "Oh well ill put a fart can and performance spark plugs on my new 1 series!" BMWs are the best looking cars from the factory, and some of the best performance and handling, and fucking riceburners think they can make that better by putting 50 dollar aftermarket parts on em. adding anything other than Dinan or Alpina is an insult to BMW
