"The only big difference here is the CPU and obviously the motherboard... Basically it's a very consistent experience between the 2 platforms. This is Call Duty 4... A huge difference though. The Intel system is $900 more expensive than the AMD game system primarily driven by the processor cost and the motherboard. So what this says is essentially when it comes to Call of Duty 4 is GPU limited. Particularly when you're running it at the higher resolutions with anti-aliasing turned on, anastropic filtering up really high... It doesn't say that the processor doesn't matter but what it says here is that at $215 processor not a $1,000 processor, you'll get a very similar experience... What could you do with the extra $900? You could buy 20 game titles, a 27" monitor, a cool racing gear with the seat to play an F1 game...".

The point is that you pay the 1000 bucks for the QX due to overclocking. You can get good Intel CPUs with the same clock much cheaper but it misses the extra-features like the unlocked multiplier. And the shiny black sticker.

yeh, but intel has 120 dollar processors that could blow the doors off that phenom. both systems are way overpriced to max out call of duty 4

amd is the 11th biggest copmany in the world, intel is 1th bigest company in the world. but with the cool ideas of 2008-2009 im sure amd will go up to rank 5 and up!!! GO AMD (plus intel will fall a rank because of the price)

yes, but the problem is CPU DOES MATTER. because cpu is pretty much everything, the gpu just helps the pictures go better but cpu controlls the speed and reaction. AND INTEL AMD have a big compettion, the first company to creat the most high-tech chip GCPU ever will be accepted for marketing, GO AMD!!

intel is a huge company that started before amd, has more money more employees. but never thought about going green. Amd has started later and with a huge failure at 2001 (there was a testing and the amd chip went on fire). in 2008 they are going green, cheap , and much better :D
