AlmightyDevin, You obviously dont live in Barrie because we have a foot and ahlf of snow already and won't see spring until mid April...Global warming my ass...and John Denver is full of shit. That adds up to about five months of winter and seven months for the other 3 seasons (which this year was about two weeks in September of Summer). ...and where have all the fish gone.......

The sun is the ONLY thing warming the planet. Without the sun temps would quickly be near -455 Fahrenheit (absolute zero). Variations in climate are due to a perpetual callibration to change on earth - the planet is not inert and this has been happening long before the advent of man. Right now, Earth has been warming since the last ice age 10,000 years ago - did humans cause that??? Shouldn't cut down the forests or burn stuff though. Go nuclear.

As an astronomer, I can tell you with confidence that the sun cannot be the main cause of global warming. The sun's activity has not increased in the past 50 years, and has even been decreasing since the mid '80s.

Man is the only reason for global warming. We're (basically everyone) is creating fossil fuels with the cars we drive. Those then go into and become trapped in the atmosphere and warming the climate. I'm not blaming anyone with the coal mines being made every day (China). Thanks for actually talking knowledge.

Agreed, it is the sun that is the cause. In 10,000 years most of the earth will be covered in ice again anyways. Just beware of people who want to tax and profit for global aspirations of control. My family had been tree farmers for many years, I grew up with nature, and will rest knowing that balance will be restored.

The question is...Is it manmade? I think the sun is mostly contributing. Man has a hand in it, but it's the sun that's causing it. Cyclical vibrations within the sun cause its energy output to vary, and we've entered a warming phase.

No, it doesn't vary. The last 2 years first snowfalls were in November. You basically have to experience it to understand it, in which you haven't. As the years pass, the winters get shorter and the summers get longer in Canada.
