Very nice car. No doubt about it. But in Canada - where I live - I bought a car that is just as fast, stops just as quickly, handles better and cost $50,000 LESS. Oh sure - the STS-V comes with a few extra 'standards' and - I will admit - a nicer interior - but $50,000 nicer? Not a chance. What did I end up buying? A 2006 Chrysler 300C SRT8. Craig!! :o)

Actually, Cadillac STS and Mercedes S-Class are not in the same car sector.
Sector A = very small, Toyota Aygo
Sector B = small, Toyota Yaris
Sector C = compact, Toyota Auris, Corolla
Sector D = medium, Toyota Avensis, Lexus IS
Sector E = large, Lexus GS
Cadillac STS and Cadillac CTS both are in the Sector E for large car. In Europe it is compared to an Audi A6 or Mercedes E Class which leads to my prior posted comment. Cadillac BLS sold in Europe is of Sector D, likes of Audi A4.

There is one problem with Cadillac in Europe it is there lineup and lack of diesel engines. Cadillac BLS makes sense since it aims towards Audi A4 area. The big problem lies between CTS & STS, only 15 cm seperate them. Cadillac should have thought about the CTS's size before constructing it or should have made the current STS longer like Audi's A8. This way they would have the BLS aiming at the A4, the CTS aiming at the A6 and the STS aiming at the A8.

my opinion, in case of weight and type and that it is an luxury car, it compares to the s class, and it is better in acceleration, top speed and looks handling.... everything |
