The original silent films sometimes had a man at the cinema to narrate what was going on. Example: 'This man here is cheating on his wife. She's about to walk in and catch him in the act. Let's see what happens...' An organist would play the music too. Very theatre-like at this early stage of cinema. They even had films of trains with the camera mounted on the front of the train, and the cinemas were narrow and decorated like train carriages! Kooky but true :-)

No-one is bitching...i think this film is cool, and trust me I aint no bitch, i like the film alot and find it slightly irritating that the woman sees fit to narrate it, when it isn't necassary. i'm suprised we are arguing over something this petty....

in case you ever watched world cinema you would realize that not all french moviesare narrated..and i have a problem with this particular narrator which does not make me the dipshit...the fact that your ignorance has made you this hostile to people you've never met and who probably appreiate a work of art like this film more than you could anything, is just sad.
