The problem with Stan Meyers machine isn't that it's being surpressed or that it doesn't work (i can't say with any certainty that it doesn't without having the machine at my fingertips to test and probe and measure) but that people don't trust it, it sonds like a pipe dream. Everything I know about the laws of physics says that the energy you get from it should not be more than the energy being put into it.

i can make hydrogen now theres no need for hydrogen stations. the way to do this is to learn how stan meyer made the water splitter plug. he had the perfect setup till the tirants murdered him. dont wait for companies to make it for you. for under 75 bucks you can make a hydrogen cell that averages 30 to 40 percent increase in mileage.

This is a propaganda film for G.M. thats to little to late .
You watch , G.M. will be asking for billions in bailout money to save their corporation . And guess who gets to pay ? The people....again . Wake up people ! Your getting screwed and told that in the end Americans will appreciate what we (Congress) are doing for America . Americans have been lied to so corporations could make hundreds of BILLIONS in profits at our expense ! Boycot American auto makers until they move back home !
antiochblade (July 4, 2008 at 7:48 pm)
Americans have stood by the big three automakers for 40 years . When a plant was shut down and moved we were told that is was necessary for the survival of the corporation . We were told this over and over and over . Plant after plant was shut down and moved to Canada , Mexico and other countries . Im tired of being loyal to corporations that screw over Americans for a buck . Most major Corporations have screwed Americans over again and again for the almighty dollar . LET THEM GO BANKRUPT !

The greatest challenge for fuel cells is not the technology but the infrustructure. Hydrogen needs to be comercially available before you can have a widespread use of hydrogen fuel cell cars. Getting all that hydrogen in the first place is another big challenge.

Also, I find it funny that Nonsoundflux is talking about something he has no knowledge on. Hydrogen would be transferred by hydrogen powered vehicles. In the future, gas, coal, and other greenhouse gas producing vehicles will be nearly non-existant. Also, you cannot say anything about how hydrogen is produces. At the moment, there is no way to produce it without forcing a chemical reaction between water and another substance.

Fuel cells are the way of the future. While it's not feasable at the moment, scientific advances will make it feasable soon. We just need to wait for another breakthrough, such as the aluminum-gallium alloy one.

fuelcell cars r a full power car like any other,A hydrogen tank will not explode a gas tank will.if a hydrogen tank leaks it will evaporate into air because it is 14x lighter than air.The auto makers say a battery car can have what they call a (thermol event) they call it that because they don't like the word FIRE.But if u want to buy a battery car go ahead and buy one,I plan on buying a fuelcell car. I hope u don't mind..

To nonsoundflux I get the impression u don't like fuelcell cars, but u like battery cars. Well lets do the pro's and con's shall we. Battery cars range 200 miles maybe on at least a 4 hr charge,a fuelcell 300 miles and a 3 min. fill.A fuelcell car will be able to supply power to your house, while a battery car can only take power from your house.Electricity to charge the battery would come from coal burning power plants, hydrogen from wind power or solar power.

stranger590, Those gas tanks are made of the most expensive carbon fiber composite on the market, which uses a petroleum-based adhesive. The other impact-resistant tanks are made of 1/2"-thick steel, greatly increasing your vehicle weight, equally reducing efficiency. Also, fuel cell units are made of platinum, which is very expensive, and has a very short life.
Additionally most newer electric cars will last you a week between charges, and THE BATTERIES ARE RECYCLABLE - and don't explode. |
