I agree with you here. Never say, "Oh, the world sucks, but I'll be in heaven (or your afterlife preference) when I die." That may not be the case. Help who you can today, it'll make life that much better. Then everyone pitches in. Then peace.

hopefully he does well and doesn't end up like taylor hicks. i think he just needs time to come into himself a bit more as a person and he'll be okay. it's something that everyone has to go through.

this coming from a Mormon, The song is not so much about the destruction of organized religion as it is about the common well being of mankind. It's saying to live life as if there's no need for a reward, just to benefit your neighbor. I don't see how that conflicts his or my religious beliefs. Although I do know where you're coming from. He doesn't do the song justice. There's not creativity added to Lennon's original. check out the A Perfect Circle, minor key cover. excellent and more fitting. |
