Thats the reason cycling "combats" doping and other sports dont have to. If Phelps wasnt breaking world records with every other swim, would so many people tune in and watch? If Football players werent doped, what would they look like, and play like? ITs about entertainment freakyness commercial value, and PED's make way more than that 1 mph gain, on a steep climb...

If all the riders in a race were going 1mph slower i don't think there would be any difference nor it would it be any less exciting.

The end of the commerical with the kid chasing lance down is classic. Great Commercial.

Dude, for JUNIORS 2yrs in CAT 1's is a LOT of experience, 4 years of racing?
I was talking about him getting it done at junior worlds at 89' or something and not being able to be Schleex, Versch, etc,
He probably did everything to win JUNIOR Worlds and couldnt pull anything more out after racing on national stage for several years.
ClimbSpec (October 11, 2008 at 10:03 pm)
Actually, that can be argued with. Compared to professionals, 2 years of Cat 1 experience really isn't that much. If you wanted to make an experience argument I couldn't refute, you could claim that Jens Voigt currently has a lot of experience.

Pharmstrong had and ingnored seriously negative effects since July of that yr, 96'. Steroids cause a lot of similar side effects as testicular cancer. They can cause BIG side effects and Pharmstrong got BIG side effects.

Lol, so you really think you can't get cancer without doing drugs or doping?!
you really are a sad person
mustardjunkie (October 10, 2008 at 10:34 pm)
The type of treatment Pharmstrong received gave him a coin flip of a chance. He never would have gotten cancer if he hadnt been on massive blood doping, steroids for 10 years up to that point.
