I think in some parts the video was speeded up, not by much though.
As for the sounds I think they're pretty "real" (Is that the word?).

Does the Centaur go faster than 12 mph, or is the video speeded up for sales purposes? Are Segways and Centaurs noisy like this video, or is the whirring, whizzing acceleration noise just for hype?

I guess I was right - you do have a family interest in this useless machine and that is why you are defending this piece of junk. And the best you can come up with in your reply to me is another "go fuck yourself" - you aren't very good at public relations for your family business. At least you could have come up with a reason why this machine was necessary and you couldn't even do that. No wonder your machines aren't selling very well.

Why the hell dont they mass produce this already?? They announced the prototype in like 2004. I'd buy it in a second if it didnt cost an arm & leg.

look dude, i dont care if you call me an obnoxious 17 year old, but i do care about what you said about this eco-friendly machine. it happens to be that my grandfather is the co-chairman of Segway LLC Innovation. so again go fuck yourself

zachlupton:
Why would you say that to me, besides the fact that you are just an obnoxious 17 year-old kid?
I made a few statements that are undeniably true about this 4-wheeled Segway as being unnecessary for any practical application that anyone can come up with.
Can you come up with a use for this type of Segway that isn't already being filled just as well by existing vehicles?
Your dad must be an unemployed Segway salesman and as a result you have some anger issues to deal with.

I'm surprised at how many people are dismissing this thing as utterly pointless... I find it neat, myself. Even if it's not the most important piece of transportation today, it could be a bridge to plenty of interesting inventions in the future.

But it's like an ATV, you don't have to balance it.

"It's a solution looking for a problem."
I think you are right. This invention is about as useless as tits on a boar.
You know what beats this thing all to hell for being energy efficient, quiet, and transports people around warehouses, factories, parks, and goes in and out of tight places real easy?
