its true the 93 golf gti is a clunker, 2850 pounds and 148hp thats a massive disadvantage for the golf (and how the hell does it weigh just 50 pounds shy of my massive altima LOL)

automatic will slow it down usually 1 second to 100km so that is deffinetly a factor in your favor

sorry i find that really hard to believe unless the car was in poor condition 4wheel drive and over 200 hp vs. 140hp and front wheel....unless it was just a regular golf then that makes more sense or you're just waaaaay faster on the stick
