wow! glad no one has hurt..the only thing raging besides the flames should be the chief's anger on how this was handled

Starting with "risk vs. reward" my question would be; "Was there a report of trapped occupants?" If so, where were the ground ladders to the front of the building to search the areas of the structure not involved in fire? If the report was "occupants out" this should have been a simple defensive operation. First get a line on exposure #4, then get your master streams going. The truck is in the wrong position to be able to effectively use it's ladder pipe. PouringO2 into the roof vent is NG.

The fire looks like it had a head start on even the first due crews...at 3 mins theres no point in risking life...master stream it and be done with it darken it down then go in for the kill...big fire...big water...

You're right why vent, it's already venting itself. Well, hooples and Monday morning quarterbacks. There was a problem with the two hydrants in the area, hence the delay in water. Great work on the video dude.

I hear some radio chatter...It is amazing to watch fire coming out a window that a few minutes before didn't have anything coming out of it---that really shows how fast fire can move. :( ~LauraG.~
