Lara is one of the worldwide female singers who can easily cover this song. And she did it amazingly. Not a surprise she constantly repeat she admired Streisand, we can feel it... and i think her voice strangely seems like Streisand's : clear, pure and powerful. That's it.

I agree with monkjc. Barbra is cleary talented and a beautiful voice, but to say Lara can not sing is just wrong. She is clearly talented, and one of the best in my opinion. You are entitled to yours, however, but why build up one by tearing down another? There is plenty of people who care for both singers, so as my parents used to say, if you can't say something nice, say nothing at all.

To have the opinion that Barbra does the song better is clearly your right, and there is nothing wrong with expressing it. To say that "this girl can't sing it at all" is way beyond your opinion, it is uncalled for. I guarantee you if Babs bothered with little things like reading through these posts, she would agree with me and straighten you out. Don't believe me? Write her about it. I double dog dare you.
