Besides, if you ever hope to earn your way into their good graces then coming back against the TOS is counterproductive. If they ever decide to give people amnesty, they will probably be less likely to forgive someone who has come back in violation of TOS.

You have every right to chastise me. I should have answered. My apologies. YT does not do an IP ban. BUT once you are banned, you are persona non grata. You violate terms of service by opening up a new account. Of course, you could violate TOS by signing up for a new account but if YT finds out they will suspend your account. Building a subscription base under these conditions is like building a house on quick sand.

Does YT ban your IP address or something? DNS? How can you realistically be banned for life???? Help me understand, please?

WOW...all I can say. WOW.

YouTube's site does have a "critical mass" and Paul is unlikely to create a mass-exodus over to his new site which will "replace" YouTube.
But, despite common misconception, "being number one" is not the only and sole purpose of life.
If Paul has enough people who come to his site - even if not exclusively, as they still post and use YouTube - then it'll survive and fulfil its "raison d'etre".
And that's good enough.

You just can't resist putting the red skull into one of your videos...in fact, i don't think you could talk on camera for more than 2 minutes without mentioning him. Personally I think he makes you a better analyst. You need the rivalry. From the tension you birth your videos.

I only uploaded Firefly's video as a favor to Firefly. He ASKED everyone to upload his video. Actually, he BEGGED others to upload his video. You need only watch his video to know that I had his permission to upload it. Since I could demonstrate that I had his permission, Youtube should have reinstated my account within a day or two. Instead, it took them 4 months. |
