Sorry bra, but I believe him and his brother are completely against the 4.5 strategy. And as far as I know him and his brother are very few intellectuals who are fighting to bring back greater Somalia so we're more powerful and don't have to be bullied by Ethiopia anymore. Once everything is settled and the federal government and the sheikhs negotiate a plan to run the country we're going to Ogadania. To free our brothers and sisters for good!

It is sad that people like Samatar are talking about what Somalia shud do. He went to school...everyone else did. These days people hold major degrees in both secular and religious knowledge. He is a very shallow individual who follows his interest...these days he has the Hawiye behind him because he speaks for them....yesterday, he was against them.

sorry correction I meant he claims to be a good intellectual and he has not even contributed to the creation of one school in all somali regions. He is just a problem creator. It was him and his brother who created the 4.5 political strategy, look at its major set backs now. It enabled ethiopia to invade somalia using that strategy. He has no substance. Just talk. Ninkan guul ka foq. Ha ku daalina. Walaahi if there wasa exremist its him. He just wants a major seat but wont admit it.

one comment only. Ok the man has done well for himself in terms of personal achievements. But what has he done in somalia, particularly in gabilay where he claims he comes from. Nothing is the answer. Therefore he is all theory and no practical substance. Markaa, he is one of those men from the maqaaxi but more complicated and had more luck in life. He is an intellectual and he has built one school. I say personaly he has no ligimate right to talk about somali issues. Just my opinion.

I hate listening to this guy truly... and I am not just saying that from YouTube but I have sat down with him and talk with him... arrogant and not knowledgeable of his own people, smart in many ways I give him that but needs to work on many things. also how can I listen to a man that is wearing a necklace and then talks about how youth are lost... your lost man

But I salute and support Professor Ahmed Ismaaciil Samatar. As a nationalist and flag-waver, Prof Ahmed is the most intellectual, the most orated, the most highly-prepared and well-trained scholar. Comparatively speaking, he is the greatest living Somali. He is the Dean of Macalester College where Koffi Annan earned his undergraduate degree. As of today, no Somali could claim the title of Dean. He is the only Dean that Somalis have produced so far.
